What is involved in a medical malpractice case?  When a person suffers injuries due to the negligence of a doctor, hospital, or other medical provider, he or she has the right to recover damages from the negligent party.  In order to recover damages, the injured party must prove liability and damages, as in a typical personal injury case.  In medical malpractice, to establish liability, it must be shown that the medical provider performed services below the standard of care of other professionals, and that substandard conduct caused injuries and damages.  In many cases, a person may suffer damages as a result of medical care or treatment, but may not have a case.  It is necessary to show that the medical provider did something wrong, outside the scope of risk that is typically involved in the subject medical care or treatment.  At MPRA, we are fully equipped to determine whether a client has a medical malpractice case.  As a prospective client of MPRA, you are welcome to consult and meet with an attorney, at no cost, to determine whether you have a claim worth pursuing.
